Owning and operating a small business can be challenging. When times are tough, a small business owner needs all the help they can get. One key source of advice should be your accountant, unfortunately too many businesses end up with tax agents that are only focused on preparing and lodging tax returns, and less on building quality relationships & assisting clients to grow and protect their businesses.
Does any of following sound familiar to you?:
-My accountant does not take my phone calls.
-I thought I would be dealing with a Partner or Senior Accountant, however I was passed onto a junior accountant who seems to lack experience.
-I am being charged high fees but I do not think I am getting value for money
-My accountant has not recommended any additional advice or services to help me grow & protect my business or my personal wealth
If so, you are not alone. These are the most common complaints we hear from clients who have come to us from other Accounting Firms.
Our commitment to you:
-We will take your call, or if your accountant is busy in a meeting at the time, we guarantee to get back to you within 24hours. And no, we will not charge you for the call.
-We will not pass you off to a junior accountant. All of our accountants are experienced advisers who take the time to get to know our clients and understand their business.
-We don't want to just sit down with you once a year, hand you a bill, and then send you on your way. Whether it be tax minimisation and planning meetings, help with setting up MYOB or XERO, assistance with obtaining finance, or simply discussing ideas on how you can operate your business better, we want to be involved and provide you with solutions.
-We will recommend additional advice and services which we feel will be benficial to you, your family and your business. We have brought together a network of experienced advisers such as Financial Planners, Mortgage and Finance Brokers, Insurance Brokers, Solicitors etc that are available to service your needs.
"There is also the perception that it is difficult to switch to a new accountant, but in reality, it is a very simple process"
Concerned about saying good bye?
We get it. We understand that you may be concerned about switching accountants as change does not come easy to a lot people. But the fact is, if your current accountant is not delivering on service and is not valuing your relationship, then they are costing you money and putting your businss at risk - and you have every right to say good bye. There is also the perception that it might be a difficult process to switch to a new accountant , but in reality, it is quite simple:
-First things first, we want to sit down with you to talk to you about your business and discuss your needs. This is simply an introductory meeting, at no cost to you, and it will allow you to get a feel for us and a better understanding of our services. From there we will tailor an accounting package for you to consider.
-If you are happy with our offer and decide to come aboard, we will make contact with your old accountant, send them an Ethical Letter advising them that we will be handling your affairs going foward, and request that all of your records be sent to us as soon as possible. Keep in mind if there are any fees owing to your old accountant, then this is something you will need to address with them. If you are up to date with your fees, you do need to have any direct contact with them.
-And that's it. Welcome aboard.
